After hearing from the community campus, Matt Gaden, Director of campus recreation, and his staff set to launch a multi-year campus expansion the current leisure centre.
Gaden issued a survey to students this fall asking them to voice their opinions and offer ideas about how leisure centre can be better than the existing ones.
"The survey results are very helpful because we ended up getting not only a couple of cool user demographics but good data can we use for ourselves," said Gaden, who has been a Director of Campus Recreation since July 2007.
One of the results of the survey is interesting is the Gaden think of reasons why people don't come to the Leisure Centre. "We got a pretty good list of what keeps people from come and work here," he said. "One of the main issues are the parking, but many people also say the lack of space, equipment and special fitness classes are also a problem."
