Backpacker’s car market is open in Sydney

Special Backpacker's car market has been opened in Sydney to stop travellers budget of clog city streets trying to sell their vehicles.

Sydney lord mayor Clover Moore said the market is in the Kings Cross will discuss the frustration of residents who object to their streets was turned into a used car sale yards.

"The market will provide an alternative site for backpackers to sell their vans to make sure the problem does not spread to the surrounding streets," Cr Moore said in a statement today.

"For years, residents have been frustrated with choking on-street backpackers parking lot while they try to sell their vehicles."

He said the market will operate from 9 am to 4.30 pm, seven days a week and will be free for the first three months.

Busy day trip expected in ABIA

AUSTIN (KXAN)-week journey in the Austin Bergstrom International Airport will be busier than normal this weekend.

ABIA said this is the busiest travel day of the year and they expect a lot of people and full flights throughout the day.

Officials with ABIA recommends passengers to the departure time before 8 a.m. must arrive for their flights at least 2 hours in advance because of an increase in traffic. Passenger screening checkpoints open 4 p.m. each day.

Tourists can see ABIA said security line waits alone for 60 minutes. Passengers who depart after 8 should be at the terminal at least 90 minutes before their flights due to security can wait for 45 minutes.

Austin-Bergstrom expects to attract passengers to the Thanksgiving airport that has seen traffic increases over the past 21 months.

United States travel industry serving Chinese tourists

More and more people from China who travel abroad as tourists.  The number of Chinese tourists are growing so fast that the Hilton hired University of London School of Oriental and African Studies to carry out a study of Chinese tourists.  Results of the study has helped to adapt many of the hotels Hilton worldwide to the new guests from China.

Breakfast at the hotel Hilton Los Angeles San Gabriel is the first United States for many of the people who live here.  About 70 percent of the guests came from China. Many of them were surprised by what's on the menu.

In addition to the traditional bacon breakfast foods and eggs, the kitchen also offers fried rice cakes, and other traditional Chinese breakfast foods.  This is a welcome surprise to Zhou Yian, a tour guide from China.

"I feel touched," said Yian.  "I just feel like there's not much difference from home."

He said the breakfast is not the only surprise.  There are also some Chinese television channel in his room.

The upside is part of Hilton's new program to attract tourists from China. More than 50 Hilton hotels worldwide is part of the hotel chain Hilton called Huanying, means "Welcome" in Chinese.   Participating hotels also offer slippers, tea kettles of tea in China and rooms, a letter in Chinese and Chinese-speaking staff.

Most of the staff at the Hotel Hilton San Francisco financial district in China says general manager Kevin O'Brien.

"We have always focused on the Chinese market. This year it grew really exponentially for us, "said O'Brien.

According to a study by the University of London in 2010, more than 57 million tourists from traveling outside mainland China.  It is 20 per cent from the previous year.

The report also found that China's growing middle class, combined with a more relaxed visa requirements in many countries around the world, have made it easier for many of the cities of China for foreign travel.

The majority of Chinese tourists who travel to Asian countries cost and convenience.  However, there are a growing number of Chinese tourists who fly to other parts of the world, and the United States is one of their goals.

Tourist guides say there are two Zhou Yian reasons why Chinese tourists choose US

"The first Chinese Yuan stronger against the US dollar, so this is a better deal when You go shopping in the US," noted Zhou Yian.  "The second reason, the United States is the strongest country in the world so that tourists want to visit."

He said one of the biggest attractions in the United States is spending, even for items that are made in China.

"A lot of foreign companies have factories in China, but the standard is better for the items that they sell abroad than in China.  They have to maintain global standards, "Zhou Yian added.

Whether it's shopping or sightseeing, travel agents say they expect more and more Chinese tourists to travel abroad in the next 10 years.
